*MacBooks are not eSIM compatible. As of 2026, no MacBook model supports eSIM. Mac users will need to tether from an iPhone or use a mobile hotspot device.

*Microsoft Surface devices purchased through AT&T or locked to a carrier may have eSIM disabled. Contact your carrier to confirm.

How to check if your laptop supports eSIM
  1. Check in Settings (Windows 10/11):
Settings → Network & Internet → Mobile data.
If you see "Manage eSIM profiles" or "Add a profile", your laptop supports eSIM.
  2. Check your laptop variant:
eSIM is only available on 4G/5G (WWAN) models — not standard Wi-Fi-only versions.
Check your laptop's model number or original box for "LTE", "5G" or "WWAN".
  3. Check your Windows version:
eSIM on Windows requires Windows 10 version 1703 or later.
Go to Settings → System → About to check your version.
Important: Your laptop must be network-unlocked to use eSIM.
