Quick answers about buying, installing and using your eSIM abroad.
Most recent iPhone, Google Pixel and Samsung models support eSIM. Check your model here → Compatibility.
- iPhone: Scan our QR (or choose Use QR Code), then follow the prompts. When done, set Mobile Data to the eSimpli plan and turn Data Roaming on.
- Android: Add eSIM, scan our QR or enter the SM-DP+ address and activation code, then enable Data Roaming.
Installation usually completes within a few minutes.

Yes—use Wi-Fi or your primary SIM’s data to download the eSIM profile after purchase.
Choose your destination/plan, checkout, and we’ll email you the QR code plus the SM-DP+ address and activation code. Keep that email handy when installing.
Plans typically start on first connection (not at checkout) and run for a fixed number of consecutive days. See the plan page for exact validity and any fair-use terms.
Yes on most recent phones (Dual SIM). Keep calls/SMS on your primary SIM and use eSimpli for data on the eSIM. Some models also support two eSIMs; this varies by device/region.
Usually yes. Hotspot/tethering works on most devices and destinations. If a country restricts it, we’ll note that on the plan page.
Our travel eSIMs are data-only.
Use apps like WhatsApp, FaceTime, iMessage, Telegram or other VoIP services for calls and messages.
Carrier-locked phones usually can’t add third-party eSIMs. Ask your carrier to unlock the device, or check your unlock status in your phone settings before purchase.
